Mechanism of Action

CJC-1295 binds to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells, stimulating the synthesis and release of growth hormone. It amplifies the natural GH pulse without disrupting the hypothalamic-pituitary feedback axis.

Overview

CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of 29 amino acids. It was developed with modifications to increase biological half-life and stability compared to native GHRH. Available with or without Drug Affinity Complex (DAC), which extends the half-life from approximately 30 minutes to 8 days. In research, CJC-1295 has been studied for its ability to increase growth hormone secretion, promote lean body mass, and improve sleep quality. The non-DAC version produces more physiological pulsatile GH release, while the DAC version provides sustained elevation.
